I have always encouraged critical psychiatry to be a broad church (eg. see
previous post). However, I do worry that this may dilute the essential message of critical psychiatry that mental illness should not be reduced to brain disease. Critical psychiatry needs to be a genuine global movement. And, it needs to be concerned about its systemic whiteness.
